Bed Mattresses: Soft, Firm, Full, Queen, Memory Foam or Springs?

By Sean Lynch

Bear in mind you would spend one third of your life in the sack prior to you buying a brand new Bed mattress. This essential decision can determine your quality of comfort and slumber for many years. Be ready to answer a few fundamental questions while shopping like, soft or firm, full or queen size. It is important to be aware of the kinds of construction and the support each supplies. There are actually 4 basic kinds of construction, open coil, pocket springs, memory foam, and latex foam.

Open Coil: A normal Mattress is made with open coil construction. Lines of metal coils are affixed to the frame and attached together. The bed of springs is covered with generous layers of extra padding on all sides and the top. A number of models offer an extra thicker layer of padding known as the pillow top. This sort of construction produces a firm sleeping surface which provides firm support.

Pocket Springs: Pocket spring construction differs from open coil because the springs are free and independent of each other and each spring or coil in separately wrapped in fabric. With pocket spring construction, the Mattress moulds to the shape of the body, one spring at a time, because the pocket springs move independently.

Memory foam: A memory foam Bed mattress is constructed from high density Visco-elastic polyurethane foam. Create a handprint in this particular dense foam bed and watch because it returns to its initial shape. This unique foam provides support since it conforms to the contours of the entire body while providing complete comfort. Memory foam helps proper posture of a body lying down on its side, by continuing to keep the spine straight and supported.

Latex Foam: Latex foam has outstanding breathing ability that decreases the build-up of body heat overnight. You'll find two types of latex, natural along with the more durable synthetic. Some producers combine both natural and synthetic in their latex foam beds to add increased durability and a longer life span. The key benefits of a latex foam bed would be the way it adjusts to body contours keeping the spine straight, the foam is breathable avoiding overheating during the night, and latex foam will usually return to its original shape.
