The Merits Of Paving El Mirage

By Melody Lyons

Paving El Mirage could refer to covering flooring or pathways with solid material. The purpose would be to provide hard and convenient surface to walk or drive. Pavements could be the results of laying material on the surface. It ranges from sidewalks, decorative interior floors in houses and driveways or roads in general.

The act of covering some area with solid material started with the Romans. They were the greatest builders in road constructions. The use of bricks and stone slabs for covering surface could be commonly used in towns. The macadam system of pavement would be adopted by the European countries in the 18th and 19th century. The system used light surface of broken and crushed stones.

The modern pavement surfaces used today contain sand and gravel compacted with bituminous binder. That could be asphalt or tar, such pavement had enough plasticity to absorb shock. The desirable qualities in pavements include durability, smoothness, ease of cleaning quietness and non slippery surface.

The merits of using asphalt material over the concrete material includes; its less expensive, durable, safe and could be recycled. The cost associated with purchase of the material can be lenient and takes less time to lay on the surface. The material could withstand harsh weather condition due to it plasticity ability during hot temperature that enables it not to crack.

The asphalt may be recycled since it is recyclable. This makes it common in modern day building material as asphalt roads can be dug up and the materials used again. This helps to reduce waste dilemma and it would not run into waterways when spilt hence conserves the environment. Asphalt maintenance is quick and easy as it entails sealing roads, driveways and highways.

paving El Mirage using asphalt material could have drawbacks such as; the driveways made of asphalt material can be prone to destruction by heavy trailers. This could be due to its low resistance capacity and could be affected by extreme temperatures making them soft. The driveways also require regular maintenance as compared to the concrete ones.
