Spruce Grove Building A Lively Culture Where Both Businesses And Families Can Thrive

Come and discover the lovely city of Spruce Grove in Alberta! Located just 11km from Edmonton, Spruce Grove is a lively, vibrant community that is sure to appeal to people from all walks of life. The Spruce Grove community boasts a rich artistic and cultural talent. The Allied Arts Council promotes the artistic work of a number of local artisans in its local gallery. The Horizon Stage Performing Arts Centre offers a wide array of artistic theatric, musical and dance performances throughout the year in its intimate and acoustically-outstanding facility.

Many social events take place at the Spruce Grove Grain Elevator Museum. Traditional events include the Flap Jacks At The Tracks, the Corn Roast and Kids Carnival and the Harvest Festival. Every Saturday from April through December, people can shop at the local farmer's market at this venue.

The public can look at 170 works of art at the Melcor Culture Centre, which doubles as an art gallery and a public library. The gallery opened in 2007 and it features works of art produced by Alberta artists.

For those who love nature, they'll enjoy the trails and the parks that are plentiful throughout Alberta's countryside. For example, Central Park offers facilities that allow people to picnic. There's also ice skating in the park during the winter months. The splash pad in the park is available during the summer months. For those who want to use walking and cycling paths, there is Jublilee Park. Not only can people take walking hikes and bike rides in this park, but there is a beautiful playground located here as well.

For those who want to get in touch with nature, there's Heritage Grove Park. With over 30km of trails, the park not only houses birds and animals, but the trails connect the communities of Spruce Grove.

Furh Sports Park offer two astro-turf fields for local teams who need to practice team sports. The locals also use this park for water games and for picnics. The Rotary Playscapes playground was constructed in this park. This is a playground that was made by children so that other children could play here.

Spruce Grove is a close-knit community that values family, health, and safety. The city provides a wide variety of recreational and educational activities for its residents, and highly values its culture of neighborliness. The city council has implemented a Safe City initiative which has greatly increased levels of community and personal safety for its residents.
